Professional Experience

Dr Elham Aldouri is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience in both the NHS and private healthcare sector. She was trained in psychiatry at reputable institutions and hospitals in the UK, including the Institute of Psychiatry and the Maudsley Hospital, London. She has held the post of Consultant Psychiatrist in adult psychiatry since 1991, having wide experience in all aspects of adult psychiatry.

She is a senior examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatry MRCPsych exams and the GMC PLAB test. Dr Elham Aldouri is also a specialist advisor to the Care Quality Commission and Department of Health on mental illness.

Sub-Specialties

Dr Elham Aldouri has a special interest and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mood disorders including unipolar depression and bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, PTSD, postnatal disorders, and psychiatric complications of physical illness. She is also interested in the medico legal aspect of psychiatry and has extensive experience as an expert witness, providing high quality medico legal reports to the courts and solicitors on civil and criminal cases.
