Catherine Perry

Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

Catherine is a Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with expertise in eating disorders, ARFID and neurodivergence-informed practice. She has built her career within leading adult eating disorder services in London, supporting individuals with multi-layered needs and nuanced presentations while contributing to the development of more inclusive and responsive models of care.

Catherine also has extensive experience supporting addiction recovery and working with patterns of compulsion across a range of difficulties. Alongside her clinical work, she has led the integration of peer support within a multidisciplinary eating disorder service and has presented her work at the British Psychological Society and national eating disorder conferences.

Catherine is a published author contributing to emerging research on neurodivergence and eating disorder care with a focus on meaningful adaptations for autistic and ADHD populations and the importance of embedding lived experience into service provision to improve care.

Catherine places deep value on lived experience, recognising that meaningful recovery is shaped through collaboration and shared understanding. Her work brings together evidence-based models and practice-based insight and is grounded in a genuine, human and integrative therapeutic approach.

Catherine works transdiagnostically and tailors therapy to cognitive style and pacing, taking an integrative stance that draws on multiple evidence-informed perspectives to best meet each individual’s needs. Catherine’s approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), MANTRA and specialist PEACE pathway adaptations.

Catherine has particular expertise in adapting CBT for neurodivergent individuals and contributes to the PEACE Pathway, sharing this work through training, research and collaborative practice with other clinicians.

She integrates sensory awareness and embodied understanding into her work, recognising that sustainable recovery often requires change not only in thoughts and behaviours, but in how individuals experience, understand and navigate their internal world. Her style is collaborative, analytical and attuned combining clinical precision with warmth and authenticity.

Catherine has an unwavering belief in people’s capacity to change and works collaboratively to support each individual in finding a path towards healing that feels authentic and sustainable.
